This pattern is a multiple of 10 chains, plus 3. To make a swatch, chain 33.
Row 1 Skip first 3 ch (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc in each of next 4 ch, *skip next 2 ch, 1 dc in each of next 4 ch, ch 2, 1 dc in each of next 4 ch; rep from * to last 6 ch, skip next 2 ch, 1 dc in each of next 3 ch, 2 dc in last ch, turn.
Row 2 Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc in st at base of ch, 1 dc in each of next 3 sts, *skip next 2 sts, 1 dc in each of next 3 sts, (1 dc, ch 2, 1 dc) in next 2 ch sp, 1 dc in each of next 3 sts; rep from * to last 5 sts and turning-ch, skip next 2 sts, 1 dc in each of next 3 sts, 2 dc in top of turning-ch, turn.
Repeat Row 2 for pattern.

Work the first dc into the
Submitted by msalume on Wed, 2013-02-20 10:42.Work the first dc into the same stitch that you made the ch-3 from--that is the "stitch at the base of the chain".
At the end of row 1, you work 2 dc into the last chain, so there are a total of 5 dc at the end of the row, not 4.
