How to Make a Beaded Edge

Add Beads to Your Next Project
First, thread the beads onto your yarn.

Insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, slide a bead up to the stitch in process, yarn over and pull the strand through, encasing the bead and letting it fall to the back of the work.

To make a beaded chain, slide a bead up to your hook, yarn over and pull it through. Repeat for as many beaded chains as you like, separating each loop of chains with a regular single crochet. Don't forget to skip a stitch or two on the working row--that way your loop will open up. The photo shows three beaded chains per loop with one skipped stitch in the row below.
