sunday swing coat guage swatch

I am an experienced crocheter but am having trouble getting the guage of 20 stitches to 4 inches, about 15 stitches to 4 inches is what I get. Is there a problem with this or is it just me? The 3.5" length is fine. Please advise.

Pattern clarification

I'm just starting this project & I had a question about the pattern. In row 2, it is sc FL in each dc across. Do I continue to use FL in the rest of the pattern also, or just the rows that say to repeat row 2?

Sunday Swing Coat - LOVE IT!

I have an 18 month old daughter and I decided to make this for her. Day 3 of starting it and it is just about finished! I am so happy about how quickly it is working up, and it's so so so pretty! I am not using the same type nor color of yarn as listed in the pattern, however. I am thinking about doing a couple of these in solid colors along with adjusting the pattern to make one to fit myself as a vest.

Sunday Swing Coat

I am making this for a 2nd cousin, and in a vanilla color... it's beautiful !!! and much easier than I thought it would be. I will definitely make more in the future!
