Pattern

I live in a 3rd world country and would not receive the magazine even if I ordered it... it would get "lost" in the post. Would someone like to share this pattern with me?? Please??

Awesome!!!

Hi, I did this pattern in the 2x size, and I didn't run into any problems at all. I love this top so much, and it was a blast to make!  Thanks alot!!

Wrong shell count on size S at "Close Front Neck" Next Row

Has anyone made this in a Small?  I am getting a wrong shell count at the Close Front Neck Next Row.  It says 11 for size Small and I'm getting 12.  I've been on track for the counts great up until now.

i believe you're correct. i

i believe you're correct. i made the size small, and i had a difference in the number of shells than what was listed at one point in the pattern; if i remember correctly i think this is where it was.

other than that one row, all of my other counts were the same as in the pattern.

Pattern needed

How can I get this pattern? I would really like to try it out. I checked at revelry but there was no patttern,

Where to find the pattern

If any of you are on Ravelry, Doris is a member.  Here is the pattern page to the design: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/summer-by-the-sea-shell. You may have to copy and paste in your browser.  I gave Doris a heads up about the issues you have been having.  I believe that it is because Doris' construction method are a bit different than most.  Doris has confirmed that.  Doris is having issues with signing up here, so i am hoping with her permission to give you the information that you need.  In the meantime I am going to look for my copy and see if I can figure it out.

Reshaped Shell march/april 2009

When working the shape armholes, I am not getting the same stitch count as instructions states.  I've tried working this section about 6 times so far, even ripping out stitches back to beginning of the shape armholes (row 1 for this section), several times, and still end up with 9 shells instead of 10, at row 5, at which point you are to continue working in shell pattern beginning with row 2.  The stitches don't line up to start with row 2 of shell pattern.

Has anyone successfully made this top?  Any problems you had?  I would really like to continue working on this, but everytime I cannot get past this one section.

I'm even thinking of trying to work this section using a smaller size, I am currently making the finished bust size of 37.  I am thinking of working this section either with a finished bust size of 32, or perhaps go up a size to size 40.

Wrong shell count?

Hi -- I think I made the same size that you made (M, 38), but I didn't have any issues with the shell counts.  I can't quite figure out which "Shape Armhole" section you're working though, where you should have 9 shells to work with.

The first Shape Armholes section, after Back, should begin Row 4 with 11 shells for size M (according to end of Back row 1).  Then you'll have 13 shells after row 5.

Not sure I helped you yet ... I'll check back later!
