Please help!

Hi! I'm a fairly new crocheter for the second time around, that is ...I used to make the granny afghans in the late 60's to early 70's but recently picked up the crochet needle again and am having so much fun:)

Anyway, I ran into a snag with the Natty Neck Ruffle...when beginning the third ruffle, the instructions say "hold the piece with first two ruffles facing you at the bottom of the piece; working across opposite side of foundation chain, join yarn with sc in first chain, sc in same chain, 2 sc in each remaining ch across---100 sc."

In the diagram on page 24, it looks like you would be working in the first row of single crochet next to the chain?? So, using the diagram key on page 91 am I correct? Are there 2 sc in the first chain? Does the third ruffle become the ruffle at the top of the piece? My project looks like it's curved and would fit better that way.

Thanks for the help!!!

E-Book?

I subscribed to crochet today a few months ago through the mail. How do I get my free e-book?

help!

I'm on row 15 now. Once I finish it off, how am I then suppose to crochet into the open loops of row 11?? (In other words, if Im now disconnected from the yarn skein, how do I single crochet the ruffles into the free loops with no yarn connected??) Please help me!

Does anyone know the repeat to make it bigger?

Not for nothing but realistically most adult women are not the runway size models you must think we are...lol. A 13 1/2" neck for a loose choker is not going to fit most adults. If you could print the repeat size so we can add to the base chain it would help a great deal. I think an 18" would be more realistic for me and would love to make it work for this pattern. Thanks!

repeat size

There's no real pattern repeat, so you can just make the foundation chain as long as you like, and then follow the instructions from there. Your stitch counts will just be different than the ones in the pattern. Hope this helps! -Pam
