fringe length

I made this shawl immediately after receiving my issue in the mail.  I was very disappointed to get to the end to discover basically no info about the fringe.  I understand the pattern is leaving it up to personal taste but I appreciate at least a guideline such as 'fringe of 24 inches as shown.'

PAYING FOR OLD ISSUES, other crochet back issues are free

WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY SUCH A PRICE FOR OLD ISSUES OF A MAGIZNE, Or any price at all? Do you Reprint them, or are they just sitting there ?   Ask me how many crochet books /magizines/ patterns/ I buy. Toooo many!!!! , but what I Love and put above any desire to add more (including Crochet World or my renewal) is that others crochet and craft /quilting /sewind nags, **let you download (FOR FREE) old issues**, YEP THEY DO!  Magazines Are a luxury in these hard times, however one I do afford myself. As i am a mess in in the disabled department along with LOTS of others that are home bound i look forward to seeing and getting new stuff if (JUST) to look at something new. Sound ODD, well it is to some, and some  Call it OCD if you want, who cares the reason why and  who can take time to care as time is short.  My POINT is at the top of this tedious note. FREE BACK ISSUES or at least the price of and old magazine after we pay 20+ a year for just 6 issues. THANKS for reading this and your patience, Deborah Wilcher
