To update it, we used a sugar and water solution to stiffen it instead of starch, which can tend to yellow over time. We think this is one classic ornament that’s guaranteed to be treasured for years to come.

AUNT LYDIA’S Fashion Crochet Thread, Size 3, each ball approx 150yd/137m (cotton)
•  2 balls #201 White
Note You are likely to need only a small amount of the 2nd ball. If you work tighter than the given gauge, you may be able to make one ornament from a single ball of thread.

•  Size C/2 (2.75mm) crochet hook or any size to obtain correct gauge
