Sparkly Snowflakes, page 34
There is an error in the stitch count at the end of round 3. It should read:
12 cl, 6 sl st, and 18 ch-3 sps.
Note the picot directions are right for the picots in Round 7 but not Round 4. For the Round 4 picots, sl st in the top of the cluster before the chain 4.
The stitch diagram is correct.
LITTLE DRUMMER SET, PAGE 40
The designer's name was mistyped. It should read Sally Byrne.
CAPELET SWING CARDI, PAGE 52
Holes can appear when working the short rows. Here is a tip for closing them:
When working the first (sc, dc) into unworked sts of the short rows, first insert the hook through the "side" of previous short rows, then into the unworked st, then work the sc.
Snowflake Earrings, Page 56
The finished measurements for the doily earring is incorrect. It should read 1¼" (3cm).
Candyland Sweater, Page 60
There is a typo in Rows 2-4. A correction appear below. In summary, the "2" before the first "hdc" in the 2nd set of brackets [ ] should not be there.
Row 2 Ch 2 (counts as hdc here and throughout), turn, hdc in next 4 (5, 5, 6) hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 3 hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, [hdc in next 2 (3, 3, 4) hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc] 3 times, hdc in next 11 (13, 13, 15) hdc, [hdc in next 2 (3, 3, 4) hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc] 3 times, 2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 3 hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in last 5 (6, 6, 7) hdc—59 (69, 69, 79) hdc.

I believe the picot instruction correction would apply to Round 4, not Round 5.
Thanks!
Icicles Pullover
Submitted by taborfinch on Mon, 2009-11-02 08:53.I am making the icicles pullover and have completed the front and back but the sleeves don't make sense. I am making the small size and have completed the first 6 rows. The next directions indicate that you are to complete the last 4 rows 6 times. When doing that, it appears that once side had a block of double crochets at one end, instead of the usual number then spaces. Is that correct?

sleeves
Submitted by erin on Tue, 2009-11-03 14:29.You are correct that when you increase on the edges of the Sleeves you will have longer blocks of double crochet post sts along the sides (both sides, not just one). These longer blocks of post sts will not show much as they are on the underside of the arm. However, if desired, you can continue in the Diagonal Lace Pattern if desired (see Note on third row of the "All Sizes" section of the Sleeves). We hope this helps.
Icicle Pullover Sleeves
Submitted by taborfinch on Wed, 2009-11-18 10:45.I have ripped this out numerous times. The instructions for the sleeves are not clear as written. The picture shown is a continuation of the Diagonal Lace Pattern for the sleeves. It looks awful with a bunch of double crochets. I really get frustrated when I buy a pattern book and get short hand instructions or left to figure out the calculations of the remaining rows. A correction for each row, incorporating the increases should be posted. This is a poor way to write a pattern.
Candyland Sweater Sleeves
Submitted by fabricake on Sat, 2009-10-31 10:25.Hi - have just received my first crochet today mag here in the UK (love it) and have made most of the candyland sweater but have come unstuck on the sleeves! Anyone else having a similar problem? I can't seem to get the rounds to obey the pattern instruction and the shaping looks a little odd....any advice much appreicated!
Snowflake blanket
Submitted by Sharon Adam on Sun, 2009-10-25 20:31.I have the same problem that Vicki encountered with the slip stitch or single crochet. If I understand the diagram, as mypersonalartist suggests, I think the picot, which I've never done before, is done in the chain between clusters...I'm going to try it anyway. I also like that idea of getting hooked on the diagrams instead of directions! I'll give that a try too! Thanks!
caplet swing cardigan
Submitted by joni white on Fri, 2009-10-23 14:48.I am having difficulty understanding the short row shaping. I see now there is a correction in the pattern. I still don't understand how to keep from having the holes. Help someone please!!
lacy table topper
Submitted by pattyb1 on Thu, 2009-10-22 03:18.I figured out what I was missing....in my hurry to see how the motif worked up, I missed the instruction to work in the next 3 ch-3 spaces (to be done before the ch-8). It is a lovely motif and now I will be able to finish this gift. Thanks for so many beautiful designs.
For all other projects, I have one request on materials needed. I find it helpful to know how many items the skeins indicated will produce. (I think the earring instructions called this out). I have partial skeins in my stash and wonder if I have emough yardage to complete the item.
Lacy Table Topper
Submitted by pattyb1 on Wed, 2009-10-21 15:58.On the Basic Motif, round 6, am I missing something? The instructions note to move backwards after ch8, but the diagram doesn't show this. I tried it as written but it didn't look right. Anything you can suggest would be appreciated.
candyland sweater
Submitted by loveshimi on Wed, 2009-10-21 14:45.I was rather dismayed that there are no symbol diagrams for the actual yoke pattern. Especially seeing that Robyn Chachula designed it. It would have been infinitely easier to visually see the increases instead of trying to read the instructions and losing my place..It would also be less time consuming. One of the features I like about your magazine are in fact the symbol crochet. In fact I learned this from your magazine! Lately you mainly give the stitch pattern directions but not the actual pattern row by row.
