Stitch 'n' Pitch events--where fans of crochet or knitting and baseball come together to craft while watching a game--have been going on for years now. This year, however, they're hoping to set a world record! Officials will be on hand to count people contributing toward the "most people simultaneously crocheting." ]

It'll be at the Mets game on Saturday, June 5. Everyone attempting the record will receive free yarn, crochet hook, and lessons before the game starts. Of course they'll have local kniterati stitching, too!

A few yarn stores in Manhattan & Brooklyn are currently selling tickets, or you can purchase directly on the site. Those who want to take part in the world record need to RSVP to Stitch N Pitch after purchasing their tix.
